Sita Jit (she/her) is an Indian-Canadian educator and writer born and raised in Toronto/Greater Toronto Area. Sita is passionate about working with children, families and educators and she holds a Master’s degree in Education. She has worked as a primary teacher, literacy lead teacher and Curriculum Consultant. She is a member of SCBWI, 12×12, Inked Voices and is a 2021 PBChat mentee.

She writes picture books, chapter books and middle grade novels that are full of heart, joy, community, intergenerational relationships and Indian culture.

When Sita isn’t spending time with her husband, three children and extended family, she can be found reading, writing, listening to music, watching movies, or traveling.
